Sausage & Peppers


  • 1 lb Sweet Italian Sausages sliced one-inch thick

  • 1 lb Hot Italian Sausages sliced one-inch thick

  • 1 cup of ketchup

  • (1) 8 oz can of tomato sauce

  • ½ cup green bell pepper sliced

  • ½ cup red bell pepper sliced

  • ½ cup orange bell pepper sliced

  • 1 sweet onion sliced

  • 3 garlic cloves chopped

  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon crushed pepper

  • 2 teaspoon seasoning salt

  • 1/2 cup olive oil


  1. In a large pan over medium heat add olive oil and sausages and cook until brown on all sides.

  2. Remove sausages from pan and set aside, in the same pan with leftover oil. Add onions, peppers, and garlic and cook for two minutes until softened. Place sausages back into the pan with all other ingredients.

  3. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes until sauce is thickened and sausages are completely cooked. Stir occasionally with wooden spoon or paddle.

  4. Drain off excess oil

  5. Let stand 5 minutes.

  6. Serve with favorite hoagie roll, over rice or linguini.
