These are just a few words to describe, Tinika B Love. Despite all odds against her, she has excelled and exceeded beyond expectation. She is a risk taker with a rebellious soul who believes anything is possible. A creative mind and a gifted spirit resides in her. She was born to succeed. As a self-taught cook and lover of all things arts and crafts, she has dedicated her time, knowledge, and resources to helping, educating, aiding, uplifting and enhancing the lives of others.

Tinika B Love attended a Career Academy in her middle school and went to Jane Adams H.S. for cosmetology in the Bronx. She studied business and management at Monroe College and Herbert Lehman college where she obtained license and certifications in Safe Food Handling for Management. In addition to this, she received licensing in consulting, goods and services and management. She is a Life Coach, Poet, Entrepreneur and Management Professional. With all of these titles, Mom and Grandmother are her most prized roles.  
 

She is very family oriented and passionate, she often jokingly refers to herself as a walking oxymoron, or the nicest meanest person you will ever meet. There are three things you can count on with her and that is her honesty, her loyalty and passion. She is the oldest of seven children born in the Bronx, NY but raised in the Spanish Harlem by her paternal Grandmother and paternal Aunt who loved her and raised her like one of their own. Her parents were addicted to controlled substances and her siblings were either placed in foster care of adopted by family, so she never had the experience of having a Mother or Father relationship, or sibling companionships and longed for that love in her life. The closest thing she got to be being a daddy’s girl is from her dedicated and always present godfather. She is a victim of sexual abuse, domestic violence, mental, verbal, and narcissistic abuse. Her life wasn’t easy and her choices were poor. She was legally an emancipated minor at the age of 16. She started taking the necessary steps to better her life due to her first and only born child at the age of 17, She also at age 24 suffered devastating loss 6 months into her pregnancy.

Tinika B Love has also taken special training with Family Services and received certificates of completion and became a Kinship Foster Parent to her little sister; by doing so she was then able to have several foster care children come and stay every weekend. She is not a stranger to hard work, she has been working since the age of 14, she used her talents to create income streams to take care of her child. Working various employment opportunities, she picked up many skills along the way, was always striving to be the best at what she does. She landed a supervisor position and worked in the corporate world for 14 years until she was laid off in 2014.

 

Tinika B Love takes great pride in all her accomplishments and agrees hard work pays. In college she was on the Presidents and Deans Lists almost every semester and in the corporate world was considered to be one of the top representative, who knowledge extends from sales, to managing large corporate accounts to technical support. She married at the age of 26 and stayed married for 17 years. Her life took a drastic turn for the worse in 2014 where she was in a major car accident. During this time, she suffered, the total breakdown of her marriage, onset of paralysis from neck down, permanent nerve damage, chronic pain, financial freedom, dreams shattered, and a long bout with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and weight gain. She had to have surgery in from the top of her spine with 4 disk replacements and fusion and a metal plate with screws still remaining as well as lower back surgery and long term use of opioid’s. With nowhere to go but up, she fought her way out through extensive therapy, a reconnection to her spiritual being, love, and a resilience that is undeniable, the drive to win and motivation to concur, nothing can stop her.
